10 new IBC inspectors

NET congratulates 10 new inspectors who have passed the exam. A total of 332 inspectors are now approved for periodic inspection of IBCs. Increased interest in the courses since 2010 contributes to increased safety and the prevention of accidents.

Congratulations to the 10 new inspectors who passed their exams last Thursday! NET has now approved a total of 332 IBC inspectors, qualified to carry out periodic inspections of plastic and steel IBCs under ADR 6.5.4.4 and the Norwegian Land Transport Regulations. More than 200 inspectors currently hold valid approval in Norway, all approved by NET. This means that over 100 people who passed our course have not renewed their approval after five or ten years. Approval requires a new course and examination every five years.

We have offered courses for inspectors since 2010, and we have completed an average of two courses a year. In recent years, we have also offered courses for English-speaking inspectors. In addition, we have established a collaboration with Central register for the marking of IBCs that have undergone periodic and intermediate inspections. This label has been very well received both at home and abroad.
