A world first

NET has once again expanded its range of tests. This time, we have tested and certified an inspection chamber to EN 13598-2: Specifications for manholes and inspection chambers in traffic areas and deep underground installations.
The product consists of a top and a bottom, and will replace its "old" predecessors in concrete or fiberglass; and is in this respect truly a "light product". Top and bottom are available in one size, but the bottom can be very easily adjusted to the right height on site with the help of a simple jigsaw. The basin is the first of its kind on a global scale and will be followed up with new brothers in the future. The basin is rotationally molded in PE ØPD.
See the product certificate (PDF).
Of the tests that have been carried out and passed, mention can be made of vacuum test for 125 days at 60 degrees, strength tests of ladders and steps, penetration, drop test at -10 degrees, leakage test with water and air. It all started at Vard Offshore in Lundedalen, where the compression jig was constructed to test compression on this basin of 10,000 kg. Good timing by the way, it took a lot of effort to get it over Brevik's bridge. It would not have been possible as the bridge is today.
