18 years of growth, innovation and ambitious plans have led NET from its start in 2007 to a modern test center with its own IT system, Lighthouse, NET has grown into a leading player. A doubling of the capacity is now planned to meet future needs.

Today, 15 January 2025, Nordisk Emballasje Testing (NET AS) marks 18 years as a leading player in packaging testing and certification. Since its inception in 2007, the company has undergone impressive development - from rented premises to its own test centre, from national pioneer to international player. Now, as a mature 18-year-old, NET looks ahead with clear plans for further growth and development.

Milestones in NET's history

2007 – Foundation of NET AS

On 15 January 2007, NET AS was founded by Rune Fink & Co, with a vision to establish a specialist player in testing and certification of packaging for dangerous goods while having fun at work. The first four years were spent in rented premises, where the company's foundations were laid.

2011 – Investment in own test centre

In 2011, NET bought its first property and built its own test center. This was a milestone that signaled the transition from a start-up to an established player in the packaging industry.

2013 - Digitization with Lighthouse

In 2013, NET took a big step towards digitization by developing its own IT system and customer web: Lighthouse. The system was designed to support the company's growth and streamline processes for both customers and employees. Lighthouse has since grown in step with the company, and today plays a key role in NET's daily operations and relationships with customers.

2016 - Extension with adjoining property

In 2016, when NET turned nine, an adjacent lot was purchased to ensure future growth. This investment laid the foundation for the company's long-term strategy of continuous expansion and development.

2025 – Double the capacity

As an 18-year-old, NET now presents ambitious plans to more than double its building stock. The sketches are already ready, and the expansion will strengthen the company's position as a leading player in an industry with increasing demands for safety, quality and sustainability.

The future is bright

Throughout its 18 years, NET has been a driving force for innovation and quality in packaging testing. As an official control body under the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB), the company has played a key role in ensuring the safe transport of dangerous goods. At the same time, digital tools such as Lighthouse have made NET a flexible and forward-looking player.
