Make the world go round

In March 2012, finally, "ISO 23907 - Containers for sharps and pointed objects" released after years of various different national standards. The standard replaces, among other things, BS7320 from BSI and NF X30-500 from AFNOR.
NET has just carried out the first tests according to this standard, which is primarily a standard to protect users of the packaging in hospitals / nursing homes and doctors' offices. In addition to ensuring the right material, correct labeling and use of colors on the packaging, the standard also ensures that users come into contact with sharp objects such as syringe tips and the like.

This is done with the following tests: Stability control, strength test on handles, penetration test, drop test and leakage test.
The method is not currently accredited by NET, but all the equipment used for recording results is accredited.
If the market were to demand accreditation of this test method, this could very well become NET's next accredited method.
