20 new IBC inspectors approved

Utleiecompagniet AS (UCO) has had approved IBC inspectors through NET since 2010. The first week after the autumn holidays, the company organized its own course in collaboration with NET at The UCO School – with an impressive result: 20 new inspectors from all over the country were approved.

The need for more IBC inspectors arose this year, and UCO therefore contacted NET. Together, it was quickly decided to organize a separate course for UCO employees at the UCO school in Kjeller - with participants from all over the country.

The list of participants testified to both breadth and commitment: Tromsø, Narvik, Bodø, Trondheim, Ålesund, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Bergen, Florø, Tønsberg, Porsgrunn, Kjeller, Moelv and Sarpsborg were all represented.

After a few intensive and educational course days, everyone could 20 participants are approved as inspectors of IBCs for the transport of dangerous goods. Twelve graduated for the second or third time, while eight participants received their first control certificate. The inspection certificate is valid for five years and must be renewed every five years.

- It is inspiring to see UCO's long-term investment in competence and safety. The collaboration has been professional and very pleasant from start to finish, says Rune Fink in NET, to UCO's professional leader, Allan Caffrey.

Both UCO and NET express great satisfaction with the implementation - and the result marks yet another solid contribution to the safe transport and control of dangerous goods in Norway.
